Nottingham Forest winger Joao Carvalho did not even make it off the bench in Martin O’Neill’s first game in charge.

Nottingham Forest fans already are concerned that Martin O’Neill didn’t bring on Joao Carvalho during his first game in charge.
Forest were beaten 1-0 by Bristol City at the weekend, with O’Neill taking the rather surprising step of keeping Carvalho on the bench.
The Portuguese man has been excellent since signing for Forest in the summer, and remains one of the most creative players at the City Ground.
However, with O’Neill setting Forest up in a 4-4-2 formation there was no room for Carvalho.
And Forest fans are already concerned that Carvalho won’t have a place under their new manager.
Forest were short of their best against Bristol City, with the Robins scoring a second-half winner during the contest.
The Reds will want to improve quickly now to ensure that they do not lose any more ground on the top six.
Forest are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Wigan Athletic at the City Ground.
