Nottingham Forest fans have slammed Costel Pantilimon’s performance in their 1-0 defeat against Preston North End.

Pantilimon made the permanent move to Forest in the summer, but he has been in shaky form this season.

The Romanian stopper looked nervy throughout Forest’s defeat yesterday, with one moment in particular drawing criticism.

Pantilimon seemed to be caught in two minds, after a back pass, as he waited for an age before clearing.

Although Preston didn’t score from the error, it was still enough for Forest fans to express frustration with him.

Forest were the better side for large parts of their match against Preston, but still fell to a 1-0 defeat.

The Reds were not clinical enough in front of goal and failed to break down a stubborn defence.

The defeat leaves Forest sitting in seventh place in the Championship table.
