Sabri Lamouchi’s side were put on the back foot for much of the first-half, with Charlton having opportunities to put the game to bed.
Forest stood firm though, and eventually got their reward when Albert Adomah lashed in from a corner.
The Reds eventually managed to claim a credible point at the Valley.
But Forest fans were not entirely satisfied with the performance that all their players put in.
And many Forest fans have singled out Watson for criticism on social media.
Forest have now claimed five points from their first four games of the season.
Lamouchi’s side are next in action against Fulham on Saturday.
