Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Ben Osborn against Rotherham United.

Osborn featured for Forest in their Championship game against Rotherham away from home on Saturday afternoon.

The 24-year-old – who can operate as a midfielder or as a left-back – started the match and played for 76 minutes, as the Reds won 2-1.

A midfielder by trade, Osborn has been playing at left-back, and against Rotherham, he was deployed in the same position again.

Osborn struggled to make an impact on the game, failed to go forward much, and did not look very comfortable at the back.

Against Rotherham on Saturday afternoon, the 24-year-old had a pass accuracy of 60.7%, won one header, and made two tackles, according to WhoScored.

So far this season, Osborn has made 26 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Championship for Forest so far this season, scoring one goal and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Forest fans were not impressed with the display produced by Osborn, and have criticised him and manager Martin O’Neill for playing the 24-year-old at left-back on Twitter.
