Nottingham Forest drew 0-0 with Derby County on Sunday afternoon.

Nottingham Forest made it six games without defeat as they played out a 0-0 draw against bitter rivals Derby County at the City Ground on Sunday afternoon.
New manager Aitor Karanka has steadied the ship at the City Ground having been named as Mark Warburton’s successor in January, and faced a major test in a fierce local derby this afternoon.
Forest called upon Costel Pantilimon to keep the scores level, making first half saves from David Nugent and Tom Lawrence to leave the sides going into half time at 0-0.

Both sides were hoping to snatch a win in the second half, but Derby’s hopes were effectively ended with the sending off of midfielder Tom Huddlestone, who was given a harsh second booking.
Forest will be glad to have kept their unbeaten run going, and they now sit 15 points clear of the relegation zone, with Karanka potentially able to start planning for next season now.
One player who should be in Forest’s plans is striker Ben Brereton, despite the Daily Mail recently claiming that Everton and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs interested in landing him.

The young striker has shown real promise with Forest, but it’s fair to say that fans weren’t impressed with his performance against Derby this afternoon.
Many suggested that Brereton simply isn’t ready for the Forest first team, never mind the Premier League, claiming that he is overrated and needs a spell out of the team whilst he develops out of the spotlight having struggles against Derby.
