Forest earned a 2-1 win at the City Ground to Wednesday.

Nottingham Forest earned an excellent 2-1 win at home to Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground on Wednesday night, with the winner coming through Joao Carvalho – but fans were not impressed by Adlene Guedioura.
Aitor Karanka’s side took the lead in the first half, as Lewis Grabban got on the end of a Ben Osborn free-kick to flick the ball into the corner of Cameron Dawson’s net.
They doubled their advantage as marquee summer signing Goncalves curled a superb effort into the top corner from the edge of the box, after neat build-up play with Osborn.
Steven Fletcher’s deflected effort in the 88th minute completely wrong-footed goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon but Forest held on to earn only their second league win of the season.

41-time Algeria international Guedioura, 32, has been in strong form for Forest under Karanka this season, starting six of his side’s eight league games – missing the other two with a fractured eye socket.
But he was a source of criticism from some Forest fans on Twitter after the match after a number of misplaced passes and a somewhat casual performance in the middle of the park. One fan Tweeted Guedioura: “had a shocker”.
