Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing Tom Heaton on loan this month.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports emerging from the Daily Mail (08/01; page 72) suggesting that Aitor Karanka is keen on Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton.
Heaton seems to be in an odd position at Turf Moor right now. He has recently regained his starting spot from Joe Hart, but Sean Dyche now has Nick Pope back in the ranks.
The Mail reports that he would prefer to stay with the Clarets rather than leave this month. But perhaps he would have something of a change of heart if Dyche decided to bring Pope back in as his number one in the Premier League before the window shuts.
And it appears that Forest could be one side ready to offer him a fresh challenge if he does become available. The Mail (08/01; page 72) reports that Karanka wants to bring Heaton to the City Ground on loan.

And it seems that the Forest supporters on social media would love to see a deal done. Some are sceptical as to whether it is possible while he is playing for Burnley, but many are excited about the possibility.
Plenty of fans have suggested that it would not be a contest between himself and Costel Pantilimon, and believe that Heaton would prove to be an inspired signing for a Forest side that are lurking just outside the play-off places right now.

Here is how some of the Forest fans reacted to the reports…
