The Reds began life without Aitor Karanka with a 2-0 loss at the Madejski Stadium. Some Forest fans think the club deserved it.

Nottingham Forest have begun life without Aitor Karanka at the helm in the worst possible way as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat away at Reading and finished the Championship game with nine men.
The Reds were a goal down by the midway point of the first half as John Swift combined with Modou Barrow to rifle home from close range, a scoreline that remained as such come the half-time whistle.
However, the first of Forest’s red cards came on 62 minutes and left Simon Ireland’s trailing side with a mountain to climb after Danny Fox was shown a second yellow for his part in a scuffle.
Seven minutes from time, Tendayi Darikwa also saw red, this time for a late lunge on home substitute Danny Loader, and to add insult to injury, Jack Robinson scored an own goal four minutes later to make it a truly miserable afternoon for the away contingent.
Although Forest remain four points behind the playoffs, the departure of a popular manager combined with a poor run of form has very much soured the mood at the City Ground.
