Mancienne was making his first start in two-and-a-half months for Nottingham Forest.

Just days after being slated for his role in Nottingham Forest’s 2-1 defeat against Cardiff City, Michael Mancienne appears to have made amends.
In the absence of Tobias Figueiredo – who Mancienne replaced with the scores level in Cardiff – the former Chelsea player was handed his first start in two-and-a-half months for Tuesday’s visit of struggling Barnsley.

And after a comfortable 3-0 win for their side, a number of Forest fans are giving Mancienne credit where it’s due.
Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter…
Goals from Lee Tomlin, Ben Brereton and Apostolos Vellios did the damage for Nottingham Forest, and kept alive their albeit slim hopes of finishing top of the Championship’s bottom half.
Barnsley on the other hand remain two points adrift of safety with as many games left to play.
And Tykes boss Jose Morais will be hoping for a favour from friend and Forest counterpart Aitor Karanka – whose side travel to 21st-place Bolton Wanderers on the season’s final day.
