Nottingham Forest drew 2-2 with Oldham Athletic, but Aitor Karanka’s new signing impressed.

Nottingham Forest fans have raved about Joao Carvalho’s impact against Oldham Athletic in their latest friendly.
Carvalho was only given just over 15 minutes for Forest yesterday, but he did enough to impress supporters.
The Portuguese winger, who only joined Forest this summer, set up the equaliser with a fine bit of skill.
And Forest fans were quick to praise the wide-man’s role, in helping them get a 2-2 draw with Oldham.
Carvalho is expected to be one of Forest’s main players next season, with Aitor Karanka’s side tipped as outsiders for promotion.
Forest have spent sizeable sums of money to ensure that they have the attacking weaponry required to mount a push for a top six place.

Carvalho already looks to have the ability to cause damage to Championship defences, with great excitement forming about his arrival.
Karanka’s side’s first match of the new campaign comes away against Bristol City.
