But Carvalho did not do enough to earn many plaudits from Forest fans on social media website Twitter.
Forest’s draw with Derby leaves both sides still locked in the thick of the promotion battle.
Both Forest and Derby look to have chances of getting promoted this term, with only three points separating them both.
Forest are next in action at the weekend against QPR, while Derby take on Bristol City.
