Nottingham Forest fans are eager to see Jermain Defoe signed, as Aitor Karanka looks for another forward addition.

Forest spent heavily on upgrading their attack over the summer, but Karanka’s side still aren’t carrying the threat that many had hoped.

Forest have struggled to get over the line in matches, with four of their games finishing as draws so far.

And the Nottingham Post suggest that Defoe could now be on their radar, as he is struggling to make the Bournemouth team.

Defoe is one of a number of options who Forest are considering, and their supporters are hopeful that a deal could be done.

Defoe could be a major weapon at Championship level, with his finishing undoubtedly outstanding.

Defoe may be reaching the twilight of his career, but he would offer good competition to Daryl Murphy and Lewis Grabban for a place up-front.

If Forest are to sign Defoe, they have just days left to complete a deal before the loan deadline shuts.
