Nottingham Forest took on Huddersfield Town in the Championship yesterday, losing 2-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium.
In the end, they were unlucky to lose the game but certainly did not deserve to win it. Own goals from Vladimir Stojkovic and Michael Mancienne, who was also sent off, proved their undoing.
They had taken the lead, with a stunning goal from Hildeberto Pereira.
The Portuguese wide-man burst through to a deflected through-ball from Nicklas Bendtner before clipping a delicious chip over the Huddersfield goalie to give Forest a first-half lead.

Pereira has been something of an enigmatic figure at Forest since his arrival. He has plenty of talent and bags of potential but has also been sent off a lot and can drift out of games.
But this was one of his better performances and he remained their main goal threat.
So the face Philippe Montanier decided to sub him off did not go down well with the Forest faithful.
