Dexter Blackstock is the latest striker to depart Nottingham Forest this week, the club confirmed earlier via its official website.

Tyler Walker was loaned to Stevenage on transfer deadline day, while Lars Veldwijk left for Belgian side KV Kortrijk just hours later.

That had looked to be that with the window closing at 11pm on Wednesday, but Balckstock has now had his contract terminated enabling him to find another club.

The 30-year-old had been at the City Ground since 2009 and scored 43 goals in 181 games as a full-time Forest player.

Some then, will be sad to see Blackstock go, while others will perhaps feel things had gotten a little stale for the former Southampton youth teamer.
