Nottingham Forest have reportedly joined the race to sign Cameron Jerome.

According to reports from The Sun, Championship outfit Nottingham Forest have joined the race to sign Norwich City striker, Cameron Jerome.

Forest sold their top goal scorer Britt Assombalonga to Middlesbrough earlier this week for around £15 million, and they’re looking to re-invest in a new striker.

The report claims that Forest are willing to pay up to £6 million for Jerome, who has two years left on his current Norwich deal.

The 30-year-old is a vastly experienced striker who has played for Stoke City, Middlesbrough, and Crystal Palace before joining Norwich City in 2014.

Jerome scored 16 goals in 40 Championship games for Norwich last season, and it remains to be seen whether the Canaries would be tempted to cash in on the striker.

The Reds are also interested in signing Daryl Murphy, according to reports from the Nottingham Post.

Forest fans are divided in their opinions on Jerome, judging by the reaction on Twitter. Here are some of the selected tweets:
