Nottingham Forest were beaten 1-0 by Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday.
Nottingham Forest supporters appear to have turned on Britt Assombalonga, after his recent showings.
Assombalonga moved to Forest in 2014 and he started his career at the City Ground in brilliant form.
However, a serious injury thwarted his progress, and the 24-year-old has struggled to come back from that problem.
Assombalonga has had to be used sparingly of late, but he was handed a start against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.
Unfortunately for the former Peterborough front man, he failed to impress as Forest slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Molineux.
Assombalonga was presented with a golden chance during the contest, but his shot from close range was cleared off the line.
And Forest fans appear to believe that Assombalonga will never be the player he once was after his injury problems.
Despite the criticism, Assombalonga’s goalscoring record is still fairly impressive this season.
The powerful forward has netted 10 goals this season, making him Forest’s top scorer by a considerable distance.
