Nottingham Forest have been rocked by the departure of their star young talent Oliver Burke, who has made a shock move to German football.

Red Bull Leipzig have confirmed today the signing of the Scotland international in a deal believed to be worth in the figure of €12 million (£10.2 million) according to Bild.

The move comes after weeks of speculation regarding his future, after his excellent start to the 2016-17 season.

Burke has scored four goals in seven games for the club, the most recent of which came against Leeds United this weekend. That will ultimately be his last goal for the club.

The right-winger’s recent form has seen him compared to Gareth Bale in playing style and Forest fans will rightly be devastated to see him depart.

Although, they have certainly got a good deal for the player.

Burke has only started ten league games with Forest and at 19-year-old remains something of an unknown quantity.

But Leipzig seemingly feel he is worth the gamble and will be hoping he can prove himself a hit in German football.

It is a deal that looks to have annoyed club midfielder Henri Lansbury. He sent this message on Twitter tonight…
