Forest are said to have rejected a bid from Wigan Athletic for Fox.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly rejected Wigan Athletic’s bid for defender Danny Fox, with new manager Martin O’Neill keen to assess his squad before selling any players – but Forest fans are desperate to see the back of him.
Sky Sports claim the 32-year-old was the subject of a bid from Championship strugglers Wigan, with manager Paul Cook looking to lure the versatile defender to the DW Stadium.
With Fox’s contract set to expire at the end of the season, Wigan tabled an offer in a bid to tempt Forest into raking some money in for the defender now – rather than losing him for nothing come June.
However, new Forest manager Martin O’Neill has decided to reject the offer for a player that has been crucial to Forest’s campaign so far. He has made 21 appearances in all competitions, captaining the side 13 times.

Forest have plenty of options at the heart of their defence other than Fox, with Michael Dawson, Michael Hefele and Tobias Figuerido all vying for a place in the starting line-up under new manager O’Neill.
Despite Fox’s regular place in the side this season, Forest fans have urged the club to sell the experienced defender upon learning that Wigan had reportedly had a bid turned down.
