Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Ben Osborn from Nottingham Forest.
Newcastle United have recently been linked with Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn.
Newcastle have been said to be tracking Osborn for some time, and according to the Daily Mirror they will step their interest up this summer.
However, Forest fans’ reviews of the youngster’s recent performances do send some warning signs.
Many Forest fans have not been impressed by Osborn recently, and have suggested that he is overrated.
Osborn is still regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Championship by many neutral observers, and it may be that a fresh start at Newcastle could bring the best out of him.
Both Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow have progressed at St. James’ Park have progressed considerably since departing Forest for Newcastle in recent times.
But if Newcastle are promoted this season, as expected, it may be that any Magpies fans hoping that Osborn will be ready to make an immediate step up to Premier League level could be disappointed, as Forest fans appear to have some doubts over the youngster.
