The Reds ace scored a long-range effort in the Championship 5-5 draw at Aston Villa.

Joe Lolley of Notts Forest scores to make it 4-3 during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest at Villa Park on November 28, 2018 in Birmingham, England.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Joe Lolley has added the club’s Goal of the Season award to his prior accolade of Player of the Year at the City Ground.

The 26-year-old’s long-range strike against Aston Villa in the dramatic 5-5 draw in November last year was deemed the club’s top goal of the 2018-19 campaign .

In the Villa Park clash, Lolley picked up a pass in midfield, worked his way into some space and, from around 25 yards out, let rip with a ferocious effort which left Orjan Nyland helpless.

The Reds led on three separate occasions during the clash in Birmingham, with Lolley’s effort giving Forest a 4-3 lead just after half-time, while Lewis Grabban scored a brace in the game.

Joao Carvalho and Matty Cash were Forest’s other scorers, while Villa loanee Tammy Abraham netted four and Anwar El Ghazi claimed the hosts’ fifth.

Ben Osborn’s goal against Leeds United on New Year’s Day came in second place, with Joao Carvalho’s finish against Sheffield Wednesday at The City Ground finishing third.
