The versatile Reds youngster was once again deployed at right-back by Sabri Lamouchi in the City Ground friendly.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Matty Cash’s performance in Friday’s 2-2 friendly draw with Real Sociedad at the City Ground.
The 21-year-old was once again deployed at right-back by Reds boss Sabri Lamouchi, with Jack Robinson at left-back and a centre-back pairing of Michael Dawson and Joe Worrall.
Cash put in a highly attacking display and was involved in several opportunities, such as his early header deflected wide, a cross to Albert Adomah, and a 24th-minute effort lashed over the bar.
One of his efforts led to a corner from which Tiago Silva’s delivery was rifled into the net by Worrall, and although Roberto Lopez equalised for Sociedad, Lewis Grabban put Lamouchi’s side back in front.
Just as it seemed as though Forest were set to end their pre-season programme with a victory, Nais Djouahra equalised with two minutes to ensure that it would end all even between the two sides.
Here is what some Reds fans on social media said about the £3.6million-valued (Transfermarkt) player’s display against Sociedad:
According to Transfermarkt, Cash has turned out most often on the right wing, though he has also featured fairly often in the centre of midfield, with four competitive appearances on the left wing and just one competitive appearance at right-back.
