Some Nottingham Forest fans believe that they have just seen Jack Colback’s best display since returning on loan from Newcastle United.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jack Colback, with many believing that his performance against Sheffield Wednesday was the midfielder’s best since his return from Newcastle in the summer.
Aitor Karanka’s men went into the game with the Owls under a little bit of pressure having not won in the league since beating Reading in mid-August. But they largely dealt with the pressure superbly on Wednesday night.
Lewis Grabban gave Forest the lead just before the break before Joao Carvalho doubled their advantage around the hour-mark. Wednesday would set up a nervy finish with a late Steven Fletcher goal, but Forest would get the three points to move into the top-half of the Championship.
Several players were praised by the fans on social media, but few members of Karanka’s squad seemed to receive the credit that Colback got on Twitter.

The Magpies-owned midfielder was superb, covering every blade of grass and getting stuck in at every opportunity. His display prompted many fans to suggest that they have not seen him play better since rejoining in the summer.
And several believe that the signing of Claudio Yacob could have been exactly what Colback needed to push him to show his best form, as he will know that he could be in for a frustrating time if he allows Yacob to move ahead of him in the pecking order.
