The Iran international has left the City Ground after less than a year with the Reds and has joined Qatari side Al-Sailiya, putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Ansarifard joined Forest as a free agent last November following the cancellation of his contract with Greek side Olympiacos and went on to make 12 appearances for the East Midlands club.
All of the 29-year-old’s appearances came in the Championship, with three starts coming his way and nine appearances off the bench, and he scored twice and claimed two assists, according to Transfermarkt.
He also missed a chunk of last season due to his participation in the AFC Asian Cup, in which he scored one of his nation’s goals as Team Melli made it to the semi-finals of the competition.
