Aston Villa signed Henri Lansbury from Nottingham Forest back in 2017.

Aston Villa supporters have had a mixed reaction to suggestions that they should bring back Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury.
With Villa in financial trouble, following their failure to earn promotion, Lansbury has been considered as a potential signing for Forest by supporters.

Lansbury left Forest for Villa in January 2017 in a deal worth £3 million (Daily Mail), in acrimonious circumstances, after refusing to play.
There are some Reds fans who have not forgiven the central midfielder for his actions.
However, other Forest fans are more open to the possibility of bringing Lansbury back.
In truth, Lansbury has not been at his best since leaving Forest, and moving to Villa.
The 27-year-old has fallen completely out of favour at Villa Park, and didn’t even feature on the substitutes’ bench in the play off final.
With Villa having a clear out, Lansbury appears highly likely to leave this summer, but whether Forest will make a move remains to be seen.
