Nottingham Forest fans are discussing a move for Sheffield Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes on Twitter.

Reports continue to tip Rhodes for the Hillsborough exit door this summer, and Forest are among the clubs linked in recent months with their manager, Aitor Karanka, having managed the Scotland international at Middlesbrough.

Rhodes had scored 91 goals in 189 Championship games at the time of his transfer to Wednesday, for which the Owls – who are battling to stay within the constraints of Financial Fair Play – could end up paying around £10 million excluding wages.

His league record there stands at just seven in 46 however – including one against Forest on Boxing Day – although he has found the net twice in four cup appearances.
