Nottingham Forest were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield Wednesday yesterday.

Nottingham Forest fans have fumed at Martin O’Neill for his substitution of Arvin Appiah during their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday last night.

O’Neill appears to be rapidly losing support at the City Ground, and his tactical changes did little to win over the Forest crowd yesterday.

With Forest needing goals to get back into the game at Hillsborough, O’Neill swapped out an attacking player in Appiah for defensive midfielder, Pele.

And Forest fans have been left baffled why O’Neill brought on Pele when there were so many more attacking options on the substitutes’ bench.

Forest’s defeat to Wednesday surely ends any chance that they had of reaching the play offs.

The Reds are now in 10th place in the Championship table, six points away from the top six with just five games to play.

Forest are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Blackburn Rovers at the City Ground.
