The Reds lost to the Greek side but the City Ground academy graduate’s display impressed plenty of Trickies fans.

A number of Nottingham Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on their pre-season friendly against Olympiacos and the performance of youngster Arvin Appiah was widely praised.
The 18-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough season at the City Ground in 2018-19, making his first-team debut in November and his Championship bow in January, signing a long-term deal the same month (official Forest website) and representing England at Under-19 level in March.
Forest fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Greek giants in Athens but were much improved in the second half, with Appiah one of the half-time changes by new manager Sabri Lamouchi as he came on for Albert Adomah.
Here is what was said by some of the Reds faithful about the winger on social media during and after the game at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium:
Appiah joined Forest as a nine-year-old and made a goalscoring debut for the first team towards the end of last year, coming off the bench to find the net against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup.
He then made his Championship debut on New Year’s Day against Leeds United at the City Ground and his end-of-season appearance and game time tally stands at eight appearances totalling 265 minutes, with one goal scored (Transfermarkt).
