Nottingham Forest are eyeing a £34 million double-deal for Juventus pair Federico Gatti and Andrea Cambiaso with Premier League rivals Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Fulham also lining up a Serie A swoop.
That is according to TuttoJuve.
And, with the Italian giants looking to raise funds for a big-money bid for Atalanta midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, Juventus are certainly open to offers. Max Allegri’s title-chasing side, Gazzetta dello Sport say, are willing to cash in on youngsters Samuel Iling-Junior (stuck on the bench) and Matias Soule (out on loan at Frosinone).
It is a different story entirely, however, with Federico Gatti and Andrea Cambiaso.

Nottingham Forest eye Juventus stars
Unlike Iling-Junior and Soule, Gatti and Cambiaso are key cogs in Allegri’s machine. The former is a regular at centre-half, scoring winners in successive games against Monza and Napoli, while the latter is battling Filip Kostic for a starting berth on the left-hand side these days.
TuttoJuve reports that Nottingham Forest are lining up a £34 million double deal for the Juve duo – £22 million for Gatti and £12 million for Cambiaso – but Juventus currently have no interest in letting either player go in the New Year.
There is also interest from Aston Villa, Fulham and Newcastle United for the latter. Cambiaso a versatile, attack-minded player who’s tactical versatility and technical security has earned Allegri’s trust.
Cambiaso’s agent, however, has already made it clear that neither player nor club have any appetite for a potential January departure.
Andrea Cambiaso is ‘un-sellable’
“His wish came true,” Giovanni Bia tells Tutto Juve. “That is, to play with Juventus.
“He dreams of winning the Scudetto. Three or four Premier League teams were very interested (in the summer). We weren’t surprised by the fact that Juve considered him un-sellable. They would have sold only against an offer of 25 or 30 million euros.
“He has a long contract, and will still have to work to prove himself. He just thinks about playing and doing well with this shirt. Then things (such as a new deal) will come by themselves.”
Nottingham Forest’s interest in Gatti, meanwhile, comes at a time in which Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall appear to have been removed from first-team contention at the City Ground.
According to the Daily Mail, both Mcenna and Worrall have been ‘banished’ from training with Steve Cooper’s senior squad.
