The American defender admits he is happy across the pond and could retire at the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest have had yet another inconsistent and tumultuous season, both on and off the pitch.
But one of the more consistent factors at the City Ground is the form of full-back Eric Lichaj. The American is rare to put in a poor performance, seemingly always putting in a seven out of 10 display.
Such form is likely to have him catching the eye back in his homeland. But speaking to FourFourTwo this week it appears that Lichaj is not thinking of a move to MLS.
He had this to say about a potential hop back across the pond:
“I’ve been here four years and I’m really enjoying it.
“If I could end my career at Nottingham, I probably would, even if the opportunity to go back to MLS was on. Saying that, I’m only 28, so I don’t know what will happen in three or four years time.”
Lichaj has been playing his football in England since joining Aston Villa as a youngster in 2008. The Illinois boy had previously been on the books at Chicago Fire and the North Carolina Tar Heels before heading to the United Kingdom to continue his career.

Forest fans will be very pleased to hear that the 28-year-old is not currently looking to make the move back to the United States.
In fact, it seems he could stick around at Forest for the rest of his career, which will no doubt please fans at the City Ground.
