Nottingham Forest wanted Crysencio Summerville and were making very aggressive moves to try and prise him away from Leeds United.
The Whites sprung something of a surprise when Summerville was in the starting lineup to face Liverpool on Saturday.
Summerville had scored as a substitute against Fulham but starting against Liverpool at Anfield was a major test.
The Dutchman repaid Jesse Marsch’s faith though, scoring the late winner in a 2-1 victory as Leeds fans went absolutely wild.

Summerville has waited a while for his Leeds chance.
The 21-year-old joined Leeds from Feyenoord back in 2020 having shown huge promise with the Rotterdam club.
Summerville has spent most of his time in the Leeds development ranks though and made just six Premier League appearances in his first two seasons.
Marsch appears to have taken to Summerville though and is now giving him a chance at Elland Road.
It all could have been very different over the summer though.
The Athletic report that Nottingham Forest were aggressive in trying to sign Summerville on a permanent basis over the summer.
Forest won promotion to the Premier League and went on a frankly unbelievable recruitment drive.
Forest seemingly spotted Summerville’s potential in the Leeds ranks and wanted to bring him to the City Ground.
However, Summerville wasn’t interested in leaving Leeds and made it clear that he wouldn’t make the move to Forest.
Forest ended up signing other attackers such as Emmanuel Dennis and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Summerville’s loyalty and determination to thrive at Leeds now appears to be paying off with Marsch trusting him in the starting lineup.
Summerville still has plenty of developing to do but after Leeds missed out on a deal for Cody Gakpo on deadline day, Summerville has the chance to show that he can be their Dutch wing wizard.
