Cardiff City boss Warnock has been linked with a move for the former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper, who he managed at Rotherham United
Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock
Neil Warnock has his eye on Lee Camp, The Sun reported on Tuesday.
Camp is out of contract at Rotherham United this summer and looks set to move on with the Millers already shoulders deep in League One.
But with Nottingham Forest also in need of a goalkeeper, the Reds should look to muscle in on Warnock’s plan and bring the 32-year-old back to his native East Midlands.
Forest fans and Warnock have never quite seen eye-to-eye, despite a string of near misses – the last of which came last summer when the Sheffielder was snubbed in favour of Philippe Montanier.
And securing Camp would be a great way to kill two birds with one stone – filling a vacancy which has plagued them all season and getting one over old ‘Colin’.
Having spent a couple of seasons demoted to number two post-Forest, Camp has underlined his credentials as a Championship shot-stopper over the past campaign and a half – although he won’t play again in 2016-17 due to injury.
