The Frenchman is not focusing on things out of his control.
Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier has been commenting on his future at the City Ground – amid reports suggesting he is a dead man walking at the Championship side.
Forest owner Fawaz Al Hasawi is in the process of selling the club to American John Moores and, as reported by The Sun, Montanier will be replaced once the takeover is completed.

He has been speaking to BT in Denmark this week, mainly about striker Nicklas Bendtner.
However, he was also asked what he thought about the takeover. The laid-back Frenchman is clearly trying to remain calm about the whole issue:
“It’s no problem for me or the players, for it is out of our hands. We are focused on the field, and if we change ownership, it will be no problem for us, because we cannot control. Maybe it’s good news for the club, so we do not care about that.”

Montanier has been a popular figure with his demeanour off the pitch and with his attacking style. Unfortunately, that has not seen his side pick up the results they needed.
Forest are struggling at the wrong end of the Championship table with perhaps the leakiest defence in the division.

At the moment, the Frenchman would not have much of an argument if the new owners, if this takeover does finally occur, decided that a new head coach was in the best interests of Nottingham Forest.
But until then, Montanier will be treating Nottingham Forest as business as usual after the international break.
