Nottingham Forest boss Martin O’Neill has admitted to BBC Radio Nottingham that Matty Cash was ‘out on his feet’ during his side’s match against Swansea City at the weekend.

Cash was given 90 minutes for Forest, as the Reds turned it around against Swansea.

And O’Neill admits that the winger was struggling for fitness towards the end of the game, as he has recently been out with injured.

The Irish boss said: “Cash for instance, who is very athletic, was out on his feet with 20 minutes to go. He has missed a long spell, of course.”

O’Neill left Cash on as Forest were chasing the game, and the youngster continued to give his all, despite struggling to fitness.

In the end Forest managed to stage a dramatic comeback to pick up the three points.

The Reds looked to be slipping to defeat when Swansea scored through Connor Roberts in the 76th minute.

However, O’Neill’s men turned things around with two goals in the last ten minutes to seal an important victory.

Forest’s win meant that they stayed in contention to claim a play off spot, with the Reds currently sat in ninth place.
