Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings got the Scotland call-up but Barrie McKay was left out.

Nottingham Forest manager Mark Warburton has questioned what else Barrie McKay has to do to be recalled to the Scotland squad, reports the Nottingham Post.
McKay’s Forest teammate Jason Cummings has been handed his first call-up for the upcoming friendly against the Netherlands, which will be managed by Malky Mackay after Gordon Strachan’s departure.
But there was no room in the 24-man squad for Forest’s in-form midfielder, whose only international appearance to date was as a late substitute against France in 2016.

“Barrie can’t be far from another call-up. They’ve both done really well,” Warburton is quoted by the Nottingham Post as saying.
“Barrie has three goals and five or six assists. For a young player that’s fantastic.”
McKay has the right to feel aggrieved at being left out considering that he has as many goals and assists combined as Aberdeen duo Ryan Christie and Kenny McLean, who both made the squad.
The versatile 22-year-old would also provide Mackay with an extra striking option as Cummings and Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths are the only recognised forwards in the group.

Warburton was much happier about Cummings being called up and thinks the Forest frontman, who has four goals in 13 appearances this term, deserves his opportunity.
“I’m delighted for him. He’s made a brave move. He’s done well at Hibernian, come down south and worked hard to get his place,” he added in the Nottingham Post.
“He’s adapting to the division. It’s fully deserved. He’s a goalscorer, with a great attitude who is liked by the squad and the staff. I’ve no doubt he’ll do well. A lot of work lies ahead, but so far, so good.”
