Steven Cooper’s Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Willy Boly from Bruno Lage’s Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, according to The Telegraph journalist John Percy.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported on Twitter that Forest have made a bid of £1 million for Wolves centre-back Boly.

The Wanderers have rejected the bid, but Forest, who are playing in the Premier League this season after winning promotion from the Championship, are still in talks over a possible deal.

Percy has reported that Forest made a bid for Boly after Moussa Niakhate’s injury, adding that Wolves will try to find a replacement before striking any deal with the Reds over the 31-year-old Ivory Coast international centre-back.
