Arnaud Kalimuendo has snubbed Nottingham Forest – but Newcastle United still seemingly have hope of signing him this summer.
You would be better off naming a list of players who haven’t been linked with Forest since they clinched promotion to the Premier League.
Steve Cooper’s men will be active in the transfer window this summer and a striker will be a priority for the club.
Keinan Davis could return from Aston Villa but as things stand, they will be relying on Sam Surridge to lead their Premier League attack.
That isn’t ideal even if Surridge did impress after his January arrival, so Forest are chasing another striker.
Arnaud Kalimuendo has snubbed Nottingham Forest
Foot Mercato now claim that Forest have made a move for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kalimuendo.
However, Kalimuendo allegedly isn’t keen on playing for a newly-promoted Premier League club and rejected Forest’s approach.
That’s a blow for Forest as they will have been hoping to secure Kalimuendo as their leading striker of the future.
Kalimuendo is just 20 and has impressed in two season on loan at Lens, scoring 21 goals in 65 games.
Kalimuendo may have hope of playing in the PSG first team but the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Moussa Diaby have shown what you can do if you leave the PSG ranks.

Forest identified Kalimuendo as a potential star but his rejection now leaves them having to look elsewhere.
The report does though highlight that Leicester City and Newcastle United both fancy signing Kalimuendo too.
The French attacker may be more interested in joining an established Premier League club, with his rejection of Forest giving them hope.
Lens still want to try and keep hold of Kalimuendo but that looks unlikely as things stand.
Forest will now go back to the drawing board as links to other strikers like Cyle Larin And Valentin Castellanos continue.
