Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion fans had their say on Twitter following Chris O’Grady’s loan move to the City Ground.
Supporters had their say as Nottingham Forest agreed a deal with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign forward Chris O’Grady on a season-long loan, as announced on the club’s official website.
O’Grady, who has played just 27 minutes of Championship football this season, has fallen out of favour with the Seagulls and will now look to regain his goalscoring form at the City Ground under manager Dougie Freedman.
The Nottingham-born forward scored 15 goals in 40 Championship games for Barnsley during the 2013-14 season, but has failed to reach the same levels on the South Coast. He will be hoping a move back to his home town could well be the catalyst that sees him firing on all cylinders again.
We take a look at what Brighton and Forest fans had to say on the transfer:
Although Freedman will be confident that he can get the best out of the forward, the largely sarcastic and negative comments from Brighton fans will do little to put Reds fans at ease.
Forest travel to promotion favourites Queens Park Rangers in their next league match and Freedman will hope his new signing can hit the ground running.
A good start will be key to O’Grady making a success of his move to Forest as it will help to get the fans behind him and instil confidence in his game.
