Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings is set to join Glasgow Rangers on loan until the end of the season.

While Cummings may not have established himself as a permanent starter for Forest, without the Scottish attacker, their forward options hardly look bountiful.
Cummings was touted as an out and out goalscorer when he arrived at the City Ground, and Forest do not have too many other players in that mould.

The Reds do have plenty of attacking options, but the likes of Ben Brereton and Zach Clough are willing to come short to link play up, rather than simply be a fox in the box.
Cummings, himself, may not have scored frequently, but he is a player who likes to run in behind and play on the shoulder of the last man.

And allowing the 22-year-old to depart on loan without signing any cover would be a risky move for Karanka.
As a result, it seems likely that the Spanish boss is confident of making additions this month, and that should be exciting news for supporters at the City Ground.
