Liverpool star Harvey Elliott is expected to be out of first-team action for some time due to injury. But new footage of the teenager seems to prove otherwise.
A video posted from Sports Illustrated shows the midfielder working out on an air track at Liverpool’s AXA training centre. Elliott, who cost £4.3m according to the Guardian. was severely injured in the Reds’ 3-0 win against Leeds United, where the 18-year-old dislocated his ankle.
As per the club’s official website, Elliott is likely to return to Premier League action in the second half of the season. Yet this video seems to suggest that the England youth star could be back sooner rather than later.
However, it is likely that Elliott will be back from injury in the timeframe given by the club. After all, Virgil van Dijk was walking and running a few months after tearing his ACL against Everton.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who can also play on the wing, started the first four games of the season for Liverpool. Yet this injury will likely severely halt Elliott’s progression with the Reds.
The Fulham academy graduate is one of the top talents at Anfield. And it will still likely be a while before Elliott is fully back from injury.
