Andros Townsend has praised reported Arsenal target Ben White on The ITV Football Football Show.
The former Tottenham Hotspur winger believes that Brighton and Hove Albion defender White is very good.
The Athletic has reported that Arsenal are planning to make a move for the former Leeds United loanee.
Townsend said about White on The ITV Football Football Show: “I said before in the previous podcast that I was surprised that Ben White hadn’t been included in the original 26. Definitely the way he played in that last warm-up game, he is so composed, he is so calm on the ball. Nothing fazes him.”
Ben White would make Arsenal better
David Luiz is leaving Arsenal this summer.
You could argue that William Saliba is an option for manager Mikel Arteta.
But, the Frenchman is only 20 years of age and could not break into the first team last season.

White is more established and has more experience, at least in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old was so good for Brighton this past season that he is in the England squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
Yes, the youngster got his chance because of the injury to Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
However, you have to admit that England head coach Gareth Southgate could have taken someone else, but he did not.
White can also play as a right-back and as a defensive midfielder.
The 23-year-old’s versatility would make Arsenal better.
Given that White is in the England camp now for the Euros, any transfer to Arsenal will likely to have wait until the competition is over.
