Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, via MilanNews, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been discussing Rafael Leao.
The Chelsea striker faced off against Leao in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, and while the Blues ran out 3-0 winners against Milan, Aubameyang was left rather impressed by Leao.
This comes just days after Fabio Cordella claimed that Tottenham were in the race to sign Leao.
Indeed, the Gabonese forward stated that his Milan counter-part is a truly impressive player, describing him as very fast and very powerful.

Aubameyang lauds Leao
The former Arsenal man had plenty of good things to say about the Milan star.
“He is an incredible player, truly impressive. He is very fast, powerful, he can make a difference at any moment. Nothing else to say except that he is incredible.”
Like a young Aubameyang
A fast, powerful young player coming through at AC Milan who can play as either a left winger or a number nine, does that remind you of anyone?
Indeed, Leao is following Aubameyang’s career path almost to a tee, and while he’s broken through at San Siro in a way Aubameyang never did, their styles of play are very similar.
Tottenham have an interest in Leao, and that may well be their chance to right their wrong when it came to failing to sign Aubameyang a few years ago.
Yes, the Chelsea star actually admitted that he almost signed for Spurs a few years ago.
“I was close to signing for Tottenham, but I don’t know what they did, so now I’d retire for sure. It was when I was at Saint-Etienne. I came here I went to the stadium as well at White Hart Lane, but the day later they never called back, so I was like ‘ok, no worries’,” Aubameyang said.
Leao is in that same mould and if Tottenham can land the Portugal international, they would be making a step towards amending for their previous mistake with Aubameyang.
