Andy Robertson has claimed that he is ‘not too bothered’ about Cristiano Ronaldo returning until Liverpool face Manchester United, as he told his pre-match press conference.
Whilst Liverpool had a fairly quiet summer transfer window, it was chaos in and around them, including their bitter rivals bringing Ronaldo back to the Premier League.
The first meeting of the new Premier League season between Man United and Liverpool will take place on October 24th at Old Trafford.
More than likely, it won’t be Robertson having to deal with Ronaldo, but Virgil van Dijk.
But that doesn’t mean that the Scotsman still won’t have a role to play in keeping one of the greats at bay.
This is the honest verdict Robertson provided about Ronaldo when asked about his return.
“There are a lot of fantastic players in the Premier League and Ronaldo is just adding to that,” said Robertson.
“We will let Man United fans worry about that. Their prince or king is returning, I suppose. It’s about them to get excited for it.
“I am not too bothered about it until we have to face them because I have played against him before and he’s a fantastic player. And one that needs your full attention.
“But Man United have got world-class players all over the pitch. They have just added another one to it. They are all difficult. I will worry about when we are playing Man United soon. Great to have good players in the Premier League.”

The fresh-faced teenager that tore up the Premier League and ended up winning his first Ballon d’Or at the age of 23 might not dazzle or dance his way past opposition now.
But he now has a killer instinct in the final third and he has added further spice to this Premier League title race.
Whilst Liverpool have proven players within their squad that have tasted glory, those from Old Trafford are still trying to find the right formula.
Jurgen Klopp may not have the depth that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has, but that still doesn’t mean that supporters won’t be backing them to become English champions again this season.
