West Ham United took their first point on the road this season on Saturday afternoon, as they drew 0-0 away at West Bromwich Albion.

Last Monday saw West Ham finally win their first game of the season with a 2-0 home victory over Huddersfield Town, with Pedro Obiang and Andre Ayew both finding the back of the net.

However, away defeats at Manchester United, Southampton and Newcastle United meant that another trip on the road was somewhat daunting for Slaven Bilic’s men – but they battled well at West Brom.

The meeting at The Hawthorns was unlikely to be a classic, and that’s exactly how it panned out, as the two teams cancelled each other out in a 0-0 draw, though Pedro Obiang did hit the crossbar from long range.

Another point is a boost for West Ham, but one player who didn’t impress fans against West Brom was midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate.

The 27-year-old has been a regular for West Ham ever since signing from Anderlecht back in the summer of 2014, and he has chipped in with 13 goals over the course of his West Ham career.

Now though, fans are taking to Twitter to suggest that Kouyate has gone major downhill this season, claiming he doesn’t look like the same player anymore and not the player he once was.

Others feel he just doesn’t look motivated right now, with some calling for one of him or Obiang to be dropped from midfield, with neither impressing fans with their passing ability.
