Jamie Redknapp praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko on Sky Sports Football (6:40pm, December 6, 2020).

The former Tottenham midfielder, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, said that Sissoko deserves a lot of credit for his performances so far this season.

Redknapp said that although the former Newcastle United midfielder may not be the most talented footballer, he is doing a very good job for Spurs at the moment.

The Sky Sports pundit made the comments about the 31-year-old France international midfielder following Tottenham’s 2-0 win against Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the North London derby this past Sunday.

Redknapp said about Sissoko on Sky Sports Football (6:40pm, December 6, 2020), as transcribed by The Daily Mail: “I think (Moussa) Sissoko deserves a lot of credit, not the most talented footballer, but he’s filling holes.”

Important player for Tottenham Hotspur

Sissoko has been very good under Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho this season and has established himself as an important player in the team.

The Frenchman has formed a good partnership with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in midfield and has helped Spurs become stronger and more resilient in the middle of the park.

According to WhoScored, the 31-year-old has made eight starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has made one start and two substitute appearances in the Europa League for Tottenham so far this season.
