Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the report in The Times about teams facing possible expulsion from the Premier League if they join a breakaway competition.

Liverpool are among 12 clubs who formed the European Super League this week.

However, pressure from football governing bodies, media, the players, and the fans has seen the project collapse.

It was a controversial idea, and one that was not liked at all by the 14 Premier League clubs who were not part of the European Super League.

According to The Times, the Premier League will now change its rule so that no member club will be able to join a breakaway European league ever again.

The report has claimed that any team wishing to join such a breakaway group will be immediately removed from the Premier League.
