Marcelo Bielsa told Leeds Live that ‘not so much’ has changed since Ryan Mason took charge of Tottenham.

It’s been less than a month since Tottenham parted ways with Jose Mourinho, with Daniel Levy offering the reigns to the youngest manager in Premier League history in Ryan Mason, for the time being.

The 29-year-old has won both of his Premier League games in charge, but he lost the League Cup final to Manchester City.

And ahead of Tottenham’s visit to Leeds at the weekend, Bielsa was asked whether he has noticed a change since Mason took over.

“Not so much,” said Bielsa. “It’s the same players with a similar distribution.

“Of course, if they beat an opponent by four goals, the evaluation increases. It’s not the same to evaluate them after the final against City than this one against Sheff U.

“Needs a different evaluation. City game leaves certain conclusions that differ from the conclusions of the last Prem game.

“Finally, the team’s are not their last game, but the trajectory of their campaign. We can’t deny the 4-0 win showed they’re in a different kind of form.”

Leeds will provide a different test to Mason on Saturday, as he is set to come up against one of the best footballing brains in the business.

Everything has looked rosy in the Premier League garden under Mason, so far, but any small slip-ups now will prove to be very costly.

Given that Leeds are safe and don’t have much to play for then it does make them a more dangerous team than most simply because their already all-action style will become even tougher to face.
