Chris Sutton has intimated that the addition of Luis Diaz could give Liverpool an edge over Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City are only one point clear of the Reds who, since the turn of the year, have been absolutely faultless.
Even during January, when Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were missing due to Africa Cup of Nations, the likes of Diogo Jota flourished in Jurgen Klopp’s attack.
And Diaz later joined in a £49 million transfer from Porto.
The Colombia international has enjoyed a very smooth transition to life at Liverpool and, honestly, it looks like he has been playing under Jurgen Klopp for years rather than weeks.
And Sutton, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live this week, believes that the South American’s arrival gives Liverpool another dimension.
When discussing the title race, he said: “He has hit the ground running, he has improved Liverpool, he has given them an extra dimension, can you say the same for City?”
Sutton is correct when he speaks about Liverpool’s extra dimension.
Even when Jota, Mane and Salah aren’t doing the business in a certain game, which is very rare, the German manager has Diaz to call on for some inspiration.
And there’s just such massive depth there for Liverpool in terms of options, particularly when you’ve rapidly adapted to life in the Premier League like Diaz has.
