Jurrien Timber, who has been linked with a summer transfer to Liverpool has given an update on his future.
As relayed by Fabrizio Romano, the Dutch centre-back has piqued the interest of Jurgen Klopp’s side, as per a report by 90 Min in March.
Now Jurrien Timber himself has given an insight about whether he aims to complete a transfer to Liverpool or any other suitor ahead of next season.
Jurrien Timber drops future update amid Liverpool transfer links
Dutch pundit Andy Van der Meyde said last Tuesday that in his opinion, the Ajax defender is likely to join the Reds instead of Manchester United.
Branded as the ‘best young defender in the world’ by Foot The Ball, Timber has been rated extremely highly ever since he burst on to the scene.
As Liverpool add players to their transfer wish list ahead of the following campaign, Jurrien Timber, who has been speculated as one they have been keeping an eye on has addressed his future plans.

“I never shout that I want to leave. Last summer I rejected proposals from really big clubs. Staying at Ajax this summer is not ruled out, no.”
Liverpool could still end up signing him
Just because the 21-year-old has said that he could stay at Ajax does not necessarily mean he has committed his future to the club either.
The Dutch giants look set to finish third after becoming Eredivisie champions in what has been a horrific season for them, which could prompt Jurrien Timber to fancy a transfer to Liverpool.
Klopp and Co. are unlikely to be as poor as they have been this season, especially if they make the right incomings and sanction the necessary outgoings.
That remains an exciting proposition for any player that has the option of potentially signing for them next season.
As a result, ruling out the possibility of seeing Timber play his football at Anfield would be premature.
