Matt Holland has said on PremierLeague.com that he was disappointed with Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min’s performance against Brighton and Hove Albion away from home at the American Express Community Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The former Bournemouth midfielder has said that despite scoring a hat-trick against Leicester City in the Premier League before the international break, Tottenham and South Korea international forward Son is struggling to get back to his best.

Holland made the comments about Son while covering the match between Tottenham and Brighton for PremierLeague.com.

The former Bayer Leverkusen forward provided the assist for England international striker Harry Kane’s goal for Tottenham.

Son himself had an early chance to score with a free kick, and when he did eventually had the ball in the back of the net, it was ruled out for offside.

The South Korean star did not always make the right decision in the final third and held onto the ball far too long on a few occasions.

Holland said: “For Son, when he got that hat-trick, I thought that might just be the turning point but a couple of games later it’s still not quite happening for him. When you’re full of confidence things just happen naturally.”
