West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini needs to start picking Declan Rice again.

Declan Rice needs to be brought back into West Ham United’s defence, after Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s poor start to the season.
Rice was selected to start the opening game of the season in a defensive midfield position, and the youngster struggled against Liverpool.
In that contest Rice was substituted at half-time, and he has not been seen since.
But not picking Rice is starting to look like an error by Pellegrini, as his side’s defensive struggles continue.
Fabian Balbuena has struggled for form since the Premier League started up, while Issa Diop also appears to need time to adapt.

Rice, though, proved last season that he could be a very solid defensive option and he has a year of Premier League football under his belt.
At this moment, he looks like he could be West Ham’s most solid defensive option.
And Pellegrini now needs to put Rice back into his side, as that could be the most obvious way to help improve the Hammers’ defence.
